My name is Angela Nelson. This is my fourth year here at H.P. Baldwin High School. I am excited to start the school year teaching English 10!
I grew up in the suburban/farming community of Dexter, Michigan. It is a relatively small town that boasts 200-300 per graduating class. I did many extra curricular activities in high school that ranged from soccer and track to playing the clarinet in our symphonic band and being the editor-in-chief of our yearbook. I graduated from Dexter High School in 2003. I then moved on to Eastern Michigan University and graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2008.
I moved to Maui in September of 2009 with my husband after he was offered a job that provided him more professional growth. It was a difficult adjustment at first, but now I can truly say that I love Maui!
Some other things that I love are: paddling (I paddle for Na Kai), photography, hiking, snorkeling, the occasional small-swell surf, spending time with my husband Anthony and dog, Lilo, traveling, and, of course, TEACHING!
Above, I am bungy jumping in Queenstown New Zealand in March of 2013.
